The Parents’ for Children Association in partnership with the CREST Resource Center implements the project financed by the independent charity organization Trust for Civil Society in Central & Eastern Europe between 01.04.2010-30.01.2011.
The general objective of the project is to develop the parents’ association capacity from Satu Mare County to organize and develop in partnership with public institutions educational and children health programmes, increasing this way the grade of responsibility and of the involvement of citizens in community life.

The project has the following specific objectives:

• Assurance of an instrument with information, methods, practically techniques, useful legislation problems in establishment and for making efficient the activity of the parents’ associations in 500 exemplary
• Development of 20 parents’ capacity – members of parents committee – to establish and develop parents’ associations;
• Development of 350 parents’ capacity to plan and involve in solving of some problems regarding to health and education of children in collaboration with public institutions.

The target group of the project is represented by 10 public institutions from Satu Mare Municipality, 500 committees – parents’ associations, 170 children 350 parents, members of parents committees.
The proposed objectives will be achieved through the following types of activities: training programmes, workshops, joint activities planned and organised by parents associations in collaboration with public institutions.

The project contributes to the increasing of the grade of:

• Involvement of the parents in the activities of the parents’ associations committees for development of partnership between school-community
• Organizational development of the Parents Associations. At the end of the project minimum three parents’ associations will become legal personality
